Flower Crazy!

Just before spring arrives, I get motivated to try different flower designs using tissue, crepe, vellum, construction and any other paper sources I can get my hands on. Oh,forgot to mention paper bags, paper towels, napkins and cupcake holders! Before long, I can end up with a whole field of spring flowers!

Here are some things you can do with these flowers to create a happy day for yourself or for others.

  • Give a single flower or a bouquet to a sick friend when you go to visit them in the hospital or home. Watch their eyes light up with delight!
  • Use them as a center piece on your table when you are entertaining friends for lunch or dinner.
  • Place a single large flower in an interesting mini-vase and keep it by your computer. You will be surprised, the splash of color next to your work area will help you to feel more positive about the task at hand.

I try very hard not to make my flowers look like “real” flowers. It is more fun to create them out of your imagination. After all, if you want real flowers, you can always go to the store and buy them, right?
