SCORE: 30 Day Abundance, Day 21
The only way something gets done is when it gets counted. I read this statement in a book a long time ago, and it stuck into my head all these years.

Score
Anything that gets counted is more likely to be completed.
Try keeping score on everyday things you take for granted. If your score does not improve over time, it’s time to make adjustments. You will never feel lost in life if you know where you came from, where you are, and how much further you want to go.
I’ve created a simple downloadable questionnaire for you, “How to Become a Great Money Custodian”. Download it here.

A testimonial from a SCORE business client that I mentor:
“I’m so glad that you suggested that I make a monthly budget for myself. I always felt as though I was short on money but now, I feel like I have enough and more”.
I know that you have your own ideas and tips on what’s working for you. I’d love to hear your success tips on money management. We can all learn a lot from each other right?

Hi, Kay!
I got behind a few days, so I was catching up. Before I got to listen to your video, I was working on our income tax return. One piece that I had not worked on was my business expenses because I retired from my full-time job in September, but reactivated my old business, Anciaux International Communication. So, I could charge some of my business-related expenses to that (such as travel to professional conferences). I had been dragging my feet to get that figured out. But, I just sat down and did it today. That save us several hundred dollars in taxes. So, it was worth it.
I have been spending time this winter summarizing all of our expenses from last year and making a budget for this year. Of course, one of our largest anticipated expenses (travel!) has to be put on hold. But, that’s OK. I’ve got time now to catch up on things that I just never could do while I was working full time.
Thanks for keeping us on track and inspired. I wonder if you’d consider scrutinizing the LifeSPAN budget with us?
Michele, So glad to hear that you’ve been working on your personal finance. It always feels like things are back in order every time we do a deep housecleaning of finances, doesn’t it? Sure with Lifespan budget if you need another set of eyes.
